NCC Election 2016
NunatuKavut Community Council’s general election date has been set for April 26, 2016.
For the first time ever, voting for the position of President has been extended to Full Members-Non Resident. Provisions were also made for a mail-in ballot process to accommodate this extension.
Ms. Betty Sampson has been appointed as the Chief Elections Officer. Ms. Sampson is from Port Hope Simpson and has a tremendous amount of experience with the election process as a returning officer with Elections Newfoundland and Labrador for a number of years. She also conducted NCC’s general election in 2012.
