ANNUAL REPORT 2007 / 2008

Message from the Chairman of the Board of Governors

On behalf of the Board of Governors for the Nechi Training, Research & Health Promotions Institute, it is my honour to present the Annual Repo rt for 2007-2008.

This is an opportunity to share information about the activities and programs we provide for First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and the general public. As we continue to be guided by our Mission, Philosophy, and Beliefs, success is determined by an individual’s health and well-being as they progress in their journey of life.We value the support provided by Health Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch of the Federal Government, and the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission of the Provincial Government. We thank, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis organizations, health and healing service agencies, and the many individuals, families, communities, and organizations, for your support with your continued attendance and sponsorships.

Appreciation and acknowledgement goes out to the dedicated staff of Nechi for their continued contributions to the success of our students and the completion of our initiatives.

We congratulate our graduates for the completion of their programs and acknowledge the sacrifice of their families and employers to have them attend Nechi training. We thank the many elders for their prayers and guidance that has helped Nechi to become an Institution to help people affect change in their lives and their communities.

Wilf Willier
Chairman of the Board of Governors
