New Chair of CESO’s Board of Directors : Introducing Glenn Nolan

TORONTO, September 24, 2018 – CESO is pleased to introduce Glenn Nolan as CESO’s new chair of the board of directors. Glenn joined CESO’s board of directors in 2012 is currently an active Volunteer Advisor with CESO.

Glenn is a member of the Missanabie Cree First Nation and served as Chief from 2001 to 2010.

Throughout his long and varied career, Mr. Nolan has learned first-hand the importance of working closely with Indigenous communities that were in close proximity to the projects he was working on. Today, he continues to advise many companies on best practices for building positive working relationships with Indigenous communities.

Mr. Nolan takes over from Martine Normand, who will transition to the role of past chair. Martine has been a valued and integral board member of CESO since 2010, and chair of the board of directors since 2015.

“We are delighted to welcome Glenn as our new chair of CESO’s board of directors”. says Wendy Harris, CESO CEO and President. “His leadership and expertise, particularly within Indigenous communities, will be an invaluable asset to our board.”

Glenn is currently Vice President, Government Affairs with Noront as well as an independent director of a publicly traded diamond exploration company, and past president of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, the first Indigenous person to hold the position of president in the 10,000 membership organization.
