Work by Lambton College’s award-winning Enactus student group to support financial literacy and entrepreneurship training in First Nation communities across Canada will receive $750,000 in funding over the next three years from the RBC Foundation.
That follows $100,000 the foundation granted the student project in 2019.
“For the nations we work with, it will be life changing,” said Jon Milos, faculty adviser with the entrepreneurship-with-a-conscience student organization at Lambton College.
“It’s going to bring some of the skills and knowledge that they’re asking for. To build an economy, you have to have sound business principles and you have to have sound financial training. This funding will allow us, over the next three years, to reach many, many youths, specifically, in financial literacy training and entrepreneurship training.”
