Points of View opens with four chapters written by Indigenous contributors, adding their cultural and technical perspectives on the creation of projectile points
The Saskatchewan Archaeological Society (SAS) has published a new guide to arrowheads and other projectile points in Saskatchewan, with a special focus on seeing these artifacts through an Indigenous lens.
Points of View: A Guide on Saskatchewan Projectile Points with Indigenous Perspectives is the first field guide to focus specifically on Saskatchewan, said Tomasin Playford, executive director at SAS.
The coil-bound field guide includes detailed entries on various types of projectile points typically found in Saskatchewan, including arrowheads, spear heads and dart heads.
