ST. JOHN’S, N.L. _ Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Paul Davis is warning voters that a Liberal victory in the Nov. 30 election would be bad news for the province.

In a campaign-style speech Tuesday, Davis said: “Should the Liberals be elected, it won’t be sunny skies for Newfoundland and Labrador.”

Speaking to the St. John’s Board of Trade, the Progressive Conservative premier said Liberal Leader Dwight Ball has a hidden agenda.

Davis says if Ball becomes premier he will immediately make drastic cuts to important public services.

In Davis’s words, “the axe will fall” as the Liberals move to throw thousands of people out of work to cut costs.

The Progressive Conservatives have been in power since 2003 and are trailing in the public opinion polls.
