Women Council

Do you want to be a voice for women in Nunavut?

The Minister responsible for the Status of Women, the Honourable Margaret Nakashuk, encourages nominations for appointments to the Qulliit Nunavut Status of Women Council.

Qulliit Nunavut Status of Women Council plays an important role in advocating for women and giving advice to the Minister on matters affecting women in Nunavut.

Any woman living in Nunavut who is 18 years or older is eligible to be nominated. Board positions are for a length of up to three years.

Nominations must be received by: 5:00 PM ET on Friday, July 22, 2022.
