Are you a youth between 18 to 30 years of age who would like to participate in Inuit traditional drum dancing, chanting and throat singing? An Elder who would like to pass down traditional knowledge to young Nunavummiut?

The Department of Culture and Heritage, Elders and Youth Division, is inviting calls for interest from all 13 Qikiqtaaluk communities interested in learning and participating in a arts workshop held in Igloolik from November 25-29, 2019. The Elders and Youth Division is also seeking Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit keepers to assist with teaching traditional practices.

The deadline to apply is October 25, 2019. For more information, please contact Leo Tulugarjuk, Manager for Elders Programs at 867-934-2034; [email protected] or Sancia Irngaut, Program Officer for Elders at 867- 934-2022; [email protected]
