While PC leader Paul Davis says Nunatsiavut President Sarah Leo hasn’t been available for meetings, the Inuit leader says she’s not impressed that Davis hasn’t visited Nunatsiavut.

Leo has been an outspoken critic of Davis’s government, saying she wasn’t appropriately consulted on the government’s recent changes to the Voisey’s Bay agreement, among other decisions.

This week Davis told CBC that he’s offered to meet with Leo three separate times this year, but she has not been available.

“I think at least three times this year when I’ve come to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, I’ve reached out and offered to meet with President Leo,” said Davis. “She hasn’t been able to do that.”
