Indigenous Education and Services counsellor and professor Bob Whiteduck Crawford is leading online learning sessions available to everyone in the George Brown community.
The Truth the Wampum Tells
Monday, Feb. 8, noon–1p.m.
Crawford will discuss the real history of the formation of Canada and the relationship between First Nations, Metis, Inuit and the Canadian settlers.
Participants will learn about the importance of the Two Row Wampum Belt and the Treaty of Niagara Wampum and the instrumental role they played in the formation of Canada. Crawford will also discuss how Wampum diplomacy will guide us to reconciliation.
