Canada’s chief public health officer released her annual report today, with the COVID-19 pandemic leading Dr. Theresa Tam to recommend a number of policy changes. Peter Van Dusen has reaction from MPs John Barlow (Conservative), Don Davies (NDP), and Darren Fisher (Liberal), along with Dr. Andrew Boozary (University Health Network and University of Toronto).

The Bank of Canada has issued a bleak economic outlook, while Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland gave a broad preview of her recovery plan. We hear from Trevin Stratton, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s chief economist and vice-president of policy.
