Partnership between Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre and Fleming College.

The Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound program is helping women in the Peterborough area realize their potential through higher education.

The program, a partnership between the Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre and Fleming College, focuses on female-led single-parent households.

The four-year program will help Indigenous woman achieve their goals through supports that include child care, transportation support, housing security and food insecurity to help provide more stability while they attend college. The women will go through an application process to assess their needs.
