93 day search used GPS and dogs trained to uncover human remains.
Saskatoon police say the remains uncovered in a search of the city’s landfill are Mackenzie Lee Trottier’s.
“On July 30, 2024, members of a search team at the landfill made a partial recovery of human remains; following this finding, the search team continued their efforts where, on August 1, 2024, a full recovery of human remains was made,” a statement from the Saskatoon police on Tuesday said.
Police started the landfill search on May 1.
