MIDLAND, ON, June 29 – County Road 45 will be closed for an undetermined length of time due to a road blockade at the Alderville First Nations, south of the Village of Roseneath. In order to lessen the impact on the motoring public, Northumberland OPP would like to suggest some alternative routes.
Motorists traveling the 401 east from the Greater Toronto area, intending to go north on County Road 45, are encouraged to use either Highway 115 to Peterborough or take County Road 28 north from Port Hope.
Motorist traveling the 401 westbound with the intention of going north on County Road 45 should use either County Road 30 north from Brighton or County Road 25 north from Colborne. (Percy Street exit)
Motorists who are traveling south on County Road 45 at the Village of Hasting are encouraged to use County Road 25 to go south to the 401 Highway.
County Road 25 is a left turn at the south limits of Hastings.
