The PNLV Health Equity Fellowship is centered in the idea that wellness is a basic human right and that everyone is worthy of a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible.
We recognize that locally significant obstacles to optimum health exist such as racism, power imbalances and poverty. These oppressive factors as well as inequities across the social determinants of health substantially disparately impact the health and life outcomes of marginalized and vulnerable communities.
