Welcome to the Indigenous Glamping Experience brought to you by Pamela Carter, an Indigenous First Nations Health Resolutions Support Worker, and proud daughter of renowned Tsimshian artist, Arthur Bolton. Born into a heritage of resilience and rich culture, Pamela is stepping up to preserve her father’s artistic legacy by establishing a unique and immersive glamping experience.

‘Glamping’, a blend of glamour and camping, is gaining popularity as it combines the tranquillity of traditional camping with the luxury of a hotel. Our Indigenous Glamping Experience is set in the serene forest of Shannonville, Ontario, a unique glamping site featuring the ‘Indigi-dome’ – a 20-foot Indigenized hotel room, charming tiny homes, and soon-to-be-added tipis, all adorned with Arthur Bolton’s captivating Indigenous art.

This venture is more than just a business for Pamela, an intergenerational Residential School survivor. It’s a platform for education, healing, and authentic cultural experiences. The Indigenous Glamping Experience promises an escape from everyday life, immersing guests in the rich heritage of Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island. To further enhance this cultural journey, guests will have complimentary access to an Indigenous awareness online course.

According to a recent survey, 68% of international tourists visiting Canada are interested in experiencing Indigenous culture. Our Indigenous Glamping Experience meets this demand, showcasing the incredible richness of Indigenous culture and the blend of ancient heritage with modern comforts.

Bear Standing Tall, our company located in Shannonville, Ontario, offers luxurious indigenous glamping experiences that include quality unique accommodations, vacation packages, outdoor experiences, locally produced meals, and wild adventure.
