For the 2025 federal election, the Fraser Valley Current invited each party to connect us with one candidate from the five local ridings to discuss their party’s proposed policies and stances on local issues.

We spoke to Teri Westerby, the NDP’s candidate in Chilliwack-Hope, about his party’s policies its housing, health care, disaster prevention, Indigenous relations, US/Canada relations, along with the NDP’s struggle to connect to strategic voters.
