Port Hawkesbury’s Keiran Madden is coming off the excitement from competing in the 2024 Senior League Canadian Championships in Ottawa, playing for the Cape Breton Ramblers who represented the Atlantic Little League.
Before the championship that took place in July, Madden celebrated his addition to the Ramblers team, said the 16-year-old Cree youth, where he got the positions of shortstop and pitcher.
“I play shortstop and I pitch. Shortstop is like the captain of the field, so I basically get authority over most of the players on the field. I’m only ever really called off if any balls are in the outfield,” Madden explained.
