A new location for the community’s new landfill hasn’t been found yet, says city director

TIMMINS – Waste from a nearby community will be brought to Timmins for another year.

A household waste agreement between Mattagami First Nation and the City of Timmins has been extended for a year.

In 2024, the city agreed to accept waste from Mattagami First Nation at the Deloro Landfill Site while the community looked for a new landfill site.
