Twenty-six Canadian film festivals receive funding from Telefilm Canada’s General Admission Festivals Program

In the first intake of the General Admission Festivals Program, Telefilm Canada commits $245,000 to support 26 Canadian film festivals with start dates between October 1st, 2024, and March 31st, 2025.

The General Admission Festivals Program provides streamlined funding to small and/or emerging film festivals that are aimed at the general public.

A total of 48 eligible applications were received in the first intake of this program. The second intake will open from October 28th, 2024, to November 1st, 2024, during which eligible festivals with start dates between April 1st, 2025, and September 30th, 2025, can apply.
