Do you have knowledge and experience in dealing with social issues, justice, and Inuit societal values? Are you sensitive to the needs of victims of crime?

The Department of Justice is looking for representatives from the Kitikmeot and Qikiqtaaluk regions to serve on the Victims Assistance Committee. Members have an opportunity to advocate for victims of crime.

Victims Assistance Committee members routinely make recommendations on funding proposals, policies and practices of community-based and culturally relevant programs and projects that support healing and wellness. Training for members’ roles and responsibilities will be provided.

If you are interested, please submit your resume and a criminal record check to the Victim Program Development Coordinator, Dephin Mutema at dmutema@gov.nu.ca or call 867-975-6373.

Deadline to apply is October 25, 2023.
