Volunteering with CESO
Volunteering with CESO
Are you interested in sharing your wisdom and skills to contribute to Aboriginal communities’ self-sufficiency?
Since 1969, CESO (Canadian Executive Service Organization) has worked with Aboriginal communities across Canada. We help strengthen business skills and capacity within tribal councils, communities, businesses and organizations to enable them to achieve their short-term and long-term goals related to economic development and governance.
Our volunteers
CESO’s greatest strength is our team of Volunteer Advisors. They are hand-selected executives and senior practitioners with an average of 25 years of industry experience and the desire to transfer their expertise to our clients and partners. For every assignment, we match volunteer expertise with client needs.
CESO is currently recruiting individuals with significant experience in mentoring, training or facilitating workshops to join our roster. In particular, we are looking for Aboriginal people or those who have experience working with Aboriginal communities. Our volunteer opportunities are typically short-term assignments that last one to two weeks.
Our skills in demand
We are seeking experienced professionals with expertise in:
- Business development and planning (in particular with entrepreneurs and small business owners)
- Strategic planning
- Governance and policy development
- Human resources and organizational development
- Mentoring and coaching
- Financial management
