Ontario will begin easing COVID-19 public health restrictions at the end of January, the government said today, with a plan to lift most remaining measures by mid-March.
Starting Jan. 31, a host of indoor settings will be able to reopen to the public with 50 per cent capacity limits. Sports and concert venues will have a 500-person limit under that step and private gathering limits also increase.
The next expansion after that is planned for Feb. 21.
Quebec’s premier has a news conference at 2 p.m.
Ottawa Public Health is bringing back after-school drop-in COVID vaccine clinics starting Friday. Kids age five to 11 and their families are the priority, but other people in need of a dose can get one there as well.
