Women under-represented in health trials – Nancy Brown is head of the American Heart Association. She says that although heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, women are often under-represented in clinical trials.
A greener process for making batteries – Batteries are powering the energy transition, but right now, they’re expensive. App helps preserve Indigenous culture – Mikaela Jade is a Cabrogal woman from the Dharug-speaking nation. She created Indigital, the world’s first Indigenous augmented reality (AR) storytelling app. It worked with First Nations people to showcase their knowledge, language, and lore through AR.
$200B deal to reverse nature decline – The deal was agreed at a second session of COP16, the UN biodiversity conference. The money will help to close the global biodiversity funding gap, which stands at around $700 billion per year.
