Effective Organizational Practices Guide

AFOA Canada is seeking a consultant to lead the update and development of a previously created guide on effective practices for Indigenous organizations.

In 2012 AFOA Canada developed “Effective Financial and Reporting Practices Guide” and we are seeking to update and enhance this guide to also include: leadership strategies, communications, government relations, human resources, evaluation, planning (strategic, operational, workplans, etc.), policy development and implementation, etc. We anticipate this document to be approximately 100 pages plus appendices which would include templates, additional resource links and other supplemental information. We anticipate that much of the material for this guide would be found in existing AFOA Canada curriculum through our various certified programs and workshops.

The objective of this contract is to review and update the 2012 “Effective Financial and Reporting Practices Guide” and broaden it to become and “Effective Organizational Practices for Indigenous Organizations Guide.”
