APTN INTRODUCES BRAND NEW NETWORK AND WORLD PREMIERES TO ITS WINTER PRIME TIME LINEUP

  • Break through barriers to the Aboriginal spirit world with The Other Side (world premiere).
  • Schooling gets unorthodox for students at Hard Rock Medical (network premiere).
  • Longmire (network premiere) saddles up and reigns over crime, mystery and deception.

December 9, 2013, Winnipeg, Manitoba – Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) announced today a winter prime time lineup featuring a unique slate of programming, including compelling new programs for APTN audiences.

Documentaries move you to The Other Side with mentalist, Jeff Richards and his team of paranormal investigators in their pursuit to channel Canada’s most unsettled spirits. Go ghost hunting and experience spirit sightings from an Aboriginal perspective.

They’ll need more than medical books in Hard Rock Medical, where the unusual is always around – the students, curriculum, northern climate and landscape. The off-the-wall, quirky characters are in for some serious schooling in this medical drama series.

Then more drama rides into town with Longmire, a series based on the mystery novels by The New York Times bestselling author Craig Johnson. Sheriff Walt Longmire of Absaroka County, Wyoming is in the saddle, but he also wears a camouflaged mask hiding his personal troubles.

Other programming includes the best of female Aboriginal comedy in She Kills Me, new documentary series Chaos and Courage andunderEXPOSED; plus new seasons of returning fan favourites like The Candy Show and Hit The Ice.

APTN’s winter lineup begins January 6 with additional new programming, movie premieres and more to continue fascinating you throughout the start of 2014.
