Phil Fontaine and Bob Rae to Speak at Confederation College

(October, 23 2013) – Confederation College is launching a new speaker series for its students, faculty, staff and members of the public. The Wiicitaakewin Speaker Series is designed to help the College and community better understand the history and current state of Aboriginal and Canadian relations – and to appreciate the significance of the College’s priority to support and advance Aboriginal learning.

The series premieres this Friday with a conversation with two renowned Canadian leaders:  Phil Fontaine, former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, and Bob Rae, former interim leader of the federal Liberal party and Premier of Ontario, who now acts as Chief Negotiator for the Matawa First Nations Tribal Council on the Ring of Fire.
