Biannual Survey of Suppliers of Business Financing, second half of 2017
Total credit outstanding for corporations in Canada rose 2.6% to $834.1 billion during the second half of 2017, up $20.8 billion from the first half of the year. This marks a 7.7% increase for the year, with most of the growth occurring during the first half of 2017.
Stocks of principal field crops, March 31, 2018
As of March 31, 2018, total stocks of wheat and barley were lower compared with the same date in 2017. Meanwhile, total stocks of canola, corn, soybeans, oats, dry peas and lentils were up. Many of the increases were a result of increased on-farm stocks.
Traveller Accommodation Services Price Index, first quarter 2018
The Traveller Accommodation Services Price Index (TASPI) decreased 2.9% in the first quarter compared with the previous quarter. This was the eighth consecutive year where prices have fallen in the first quarter, reflecting lower seasonal demand for accommodation services during the winter months.
