The Treaty #3 Spring Assembly wraps up today on the Washagamis Bay First Nation.
Yesterday, Carolyn Bennett, the Minister of Crown – Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs was one of the keynote speakers.
She feels the creation a second ministry under Jane Philpott to handle Indiginous Services has been paying off.
“Not only bringing health over into her department, but also education, water, infrastructure. Really amazing to have her focus and a minister’s full time attention on getting results on those things”.
