Media Advisory: The Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions Hosts National Discussion on Continuing Care

Ottawa, Ontario – March 6, 2012 – As provincial governments are hard at work looking for innovation in health care that will deliver better care for better value, the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) will host a National Discussion on Continuing Care to shine a spotlight on the need for greater coordinated action to address the needs of seniors and other vulnerable populations requiring ongoing care.

The discussion will be led by Lillian Bayne, a former senior public servant with the provincial and federal government and the Associate Executive Director of the Romanow Commission.What: A National Discussion on Continuing Care

Through a series of panels and small group discussions, invitees from health care provider, worker, employer, seniors and vulnerable population organizations will focus on the challenge ahead in ensuring that continuing care is available, accessible and of good quality across the country.
