Dalhousie University had been on the hunt for an AI research chair, but it appears that finding that unicorn for the role has been tough given who is — and isn’t — welcome to apply.
The posting for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Healthy Aging, which includes a government-funded annual salary of $100,000, remains up, despite its June 30 close date.
The role sounds ideal for those with the right qualifications. But even those who would seemingly be a perfect fit might not even be considered as the role is “designated to candidates who self-identify as women with a disability or gender equity-seeking persons with a disability.”
