The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and the Industry Council for Aboriginal Business sign a Memorandum of Understanding
Vancouver, September 23, 2009 —The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) and the Industry Council for Aboriginal Business (ICAB) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining opportunities for collaboration.“The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business is proud to sign this MOU,” says CCAB Co-Chair Paul Summers. “By exploring ways to work together, we hope to complement the exceptional work of ICAB here in BC.”
The CCAB-ICAB MOU calls for greater communication and dialogue through annual meetings of the two Boards and requires the organizations to look at working together in such areas as research, program development and events.
“ICAB and CCAB want to improve the lives of Aboriginal people through business,” says ICAB President Marlane Christensen. “I believe that this MOU enables us to move forward to achieve this goal.”
