Reconciliation in Practice: Supporting Newcomers with Indigenous Awareness

This interactive session is designed specifically for front-line staff in newcomer agencies in York Region. It offers practical tools and approaches for introducing newcomers to Indigenous histories, worldviews, and the importance of reconciliation in Canada.

Grounded in reflection and action, the session explores why reconciliation matters and blends discussion and hands on activities to support staff in taking intentional steps towards reconciliation in their daily work.
