Job Description
Staybridge Suites DC LTD is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team and assist in overseeing the daily operations of our hotel and restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is looking to grow with a reputable organization in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and evaluate hotel operational policies and procedures to ensure the efficient delivery of guest services and overall operational excellence.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring effective cost control while maximizing revenue and maintaining service quality.
- Contribute to the development and execution of pricing strategies and promotional campaigns aimed at increasing occupancy and enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Negotiate service contracts and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent supply of quality goods and services.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of hotel staff; oversee scheduling, performance management, and team development to maintain a productive and guest-focused workforce.
- Coordinate and manage facility bookings and logistics for events, including conventions, banquets, receptions, and other functions, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Promptly address and resolve guest concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and uphold the Staybridge Suites brand standards.
Employment requirements
- Senior Secondary Education is required
- 1 year (minimum) of restaurant experience
- A positive attitude, outgoing personality and a great sense of humour
- Can demonstrate patience and empathy to build an amazing team
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets, inventory, and scheduling
Benefits
As per BC Employment Standards Act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose).
