Hours: 30 hours per week, shift and flexible hours, evening and weekend availability required
Salary: $18.50 per hour. Overtime will apply after 44 hours per week at a rate of $27.75 per hour.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the preparation of the meat in a fast-paced working environment. The right candidate will provide hands-on culinary skill to deliver excellent quality meat for the service.

Job Responsibilities as a Butcher includes but not limited to:
- Cut, trim, bone and prepare custom and/or standard cuts of meat, according to restaurant needs;
- Reorder meats based on inventory levels, freshness and sales records;
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards by adhering to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the guidelines set by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA);
- Package fresh, frozen or prepared meats by wrapping them in designated shapes for restaurant use and/or distribution;
- Ensure that food storage conditions are appropriate and meet required standards;
- May oversee, direct the work of, or train new butchers and meat cutters;
- Ensure that the equipment is clean and sanitized before use;
Minimum Skills Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
or equivalent experience
- Vocational or technical training or certificate course or diploma is an asset;
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience as a Butcher;
- Must have knowledge and experience preparing and cutting meat for Indian Cuisine Cooking;
