Firbank Farm located at 2860 Lamont Road, Saanichton, BC V8M 1W5 is seeking two (2) reliable and motivated Chicken Farm Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day care and management of our poultry, maintaining clean and safe working conditions, and supporting general farm operations. The salary is $21.00 per hour working 40 hours per week. Free accommodations are provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Feeding and watering chickens
• Monitoring animal health and reporting issues
• Collecting and packing eggs
• Cleaning sheds, equipment, and work areas
• Assisting with loading/unloading of birds
• Following biosecurity and safety protocols
• Performing other general farm duties as required

Requirements:

• One (1) year of previous farm or poultry experience preferred
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays if required
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Commitment to animal welfare and safety standards
