Job Description

Sandhu family are looking for a permanent full-time Children Caregiver for look after their Child at their own residence in Richmond, BC.

Duties to Perform:

• Supervise and care for our kids aged 5 and 7 years at our own residence
• Plan, prepare and serve meals to the children
• Perform other housekeeping duties related to child care, including washing children’s clothes
• Cleaning up after meals
• Oversee activities of the kids, such as meals and rest periods
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment at home
• Instruct children about personal hygiene
• Monitor and address the health and hygiene needs of children, including administering medications as required.
• Discipline kids according to the methods requested by the parents
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Help children with homework and preschool work, when required
• Communicate with parents about their children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Work with parents, educators, or professionals to support the child’s development and address any specific needs.

Requirement for Job:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 6 months of related experience is required OR Completion of at least 6 months or longer training program in child care or in a related field is required.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Criminal record check.
• Nonsmoking individual.

Benefits:

• The job is full-time, 30-40 hours per week (minimum 30 hours are guaranteed), Monday to Friday.
• 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave. 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period.
• Free of cost in home accommodation can be provided, if needed. This is not the requirement of employment. We may help in finding suitable accommodation nearby, if needed.
