The Clean Energy Coordinator supports the Manager of Climate Change in overseeing NTI’s efforts in supporting climate change mitigation and Inuit leadership in clean energy deployment. This role is essential in advancing core elements of the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Department’s mandate to promote clean energy research, clean energy projects and initiatives that approaches and align with Inuit values and principles. Build a body of knowledge to inform decision-making, policies, programs, and services that benefit Nunavut Inuit.

To be invited for an interview; you must have a Diploma in Environment Technology Program (ETP) or equivalent experience in energy and/or climate change mitigation fields is an asset. Have experience in project management, budget management, and/or research grant management Self-motivated, independent, reliable, and dependable work ethic. Have experience collaborating in team environments with diverse perspectives.

Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to Inuit issues. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, including familiarity with government processes. Ability to speak Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun or willingness to learn (required).

Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.

Starting salary is $106,186.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.

Housing allowance of $35,232.00
