Position: Construction Project Coordinator

Wage Rate: 51.28 per hour; 30+ hours/week

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, In person

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience: Civil & Offsite Project: 3 years (preferred)

Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible

Work Locations: On-site from Langley to West Vancouver

Job Duties:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Represent company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.

Credentials:

  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be considered an asset

Experience and specialization:

  • 1-3 years of Project Management and Estimating experience in Civil and Offsite work
  • You have proven work experience in estimating and management of projects from $300,000 to $2.5Million CAD
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You are organized, attentive to details and are able to multitask
  • Above-average computer skills with good knowledge of MS Office, including excel
  • Knowledge of Heavy Job Construction Software (HCSS) considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Estimating Software B2W considered an asset
  • You live locally and are comfortable travelling to different sites and meeting locations within the Lower Mainland
