Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule daily site activities of the framing crew and subcontractors to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies and building code requirements.
- Monitor and approve work progress, troubleshoot site issues, and adjust schedules or resource allocation as needed.
- Requisition, monitor and manage materials, supplies and equipment to ensure timely delivery and efficient usage.
- Report on job-site status, labour, material usage and productivity to senior management.
- Train, mentor and monitor workers and subcontractors in job duties, safety procedures and company expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the work-scope.
- Maintain a positive, productive and professional working environment on site.
Credentials & Qualifications
- Secondary (high school) diploma or equivalent is required
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to lead a crew and coordinate with subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Solid working knowledge of construction processes, framing methods, quality control, and safety standards
Experience & Specialization
- Experience (1-2 years) in residential framing or structural construction is desired.
- Familiarity with scheduling, workflow coordination, ordering materials, and supervising trades or labourers
- Demonstrated ability to ensure on-site productivity, maintain quality workmanship, and enforce safety protocols
Working Environment
- On-site work at construction locations with exposure to outdoor elements, variable weather
- Physical demands (standing, bending, walking, manual material handling) consistent with standard construction supervision roles
- Monday to Friday, additional hours may be required
- Regular interaction with framing crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management
