Position: Construction Supervisor (NOC 72014)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule daily site activities of the framing crew and subcontractors to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies and building code requirements.
  • Monitor and approve work progress, troubleshoot site issues, and adjust schedules or resource allocation as needed.
  • Requisition, monitor and manage materials, supplies and equipment to ensure timely delivery and efficient usage.
  • Report on job-site status, labour, material usage and productivity to senior management.
  • Train, mentor and monitor workers and subcontractors in job duties, safety procedures and company expectations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the work-scope.
  • Maintain a positive, productive and professional working environment on site.

Credentials & Qualifications

  • Secondary (high school) diploma or equivalent is required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to lead a crew and coordinate with subcontractors
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Solid working knowledge of construction processes, framing methods, quality control, and safety standards

Experience & Specialization

  • Experience (1-2 years) in residential framing or structural construction is desired.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, workflow coordination, ordering materials, and supervising trades or labourers
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure on-site productivity, maintain quality workmanship, and enforce safety protocols

Working Environment

  • On-site work at construction locations with exposure to outdoor elements, variable weather
  • Physical demands (standing, bending, walking, manual material handling) consistent with standard construction supervision roles
  • Monday to Friday, additional hours may be required
  • Regular interaction with framing crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management
