Position: Cook

Available Position: 1

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $20.00-22.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Work Hour: 30-40 hours per week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Work Location: 431-1150 Douglas Street, Victoria, BCV8W 3M9

Job Duties:

• Prepare complete meals and all our menu items.
• Plan new menu items and develop seasonal and special menus.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitized.
• Train other kitchen helpers in preparation, cooking and handling food items.
• Maintain and operate kitchen equipment according to rules and regulations
• Keep inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• 2-3 years’ work experience as a commercial cook is required or completion of a 3-year apprenticeship program at a culinary institution.
• English is required
