The Opportunity at Legacy Bowes

The Director of Training will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs across Canada, focusing on driving revenue growth, client expansion, and aligning offerings with Legacy Bowes’ strategic goals. This role is key to improving operational efficiency, maximizing profitability, and ensuring effective resource management, including overseeing both internal teams and external contractors.

The Director will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying business opportunities to closing deals, ensuring strong cash flow and financial sustainability for the training division. By optimizing margins and service delivery, the Director will contribute to the long-term success and growth of Legacy Bowes.

Job Duties and Tasks

  • Lead national sales efforts by developing business strategies to engage clients, monitor performance, and adjust approaches based on trends and client needs.
  • Oversee the creation and enhancement of training programs by ensuring content relevance, integrating feedback, and delivering engaging, impactful sessions.
  • Manage resources and workflows, ensuring contractors meet quality standards for effective program delivery.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and serving as the key point of contact for feedback.
  • Drive Legacy Bowes’ vision by developing marketing strategies that align training programs with company goals, identify market opportunities, and lead revenue growth nationwide.
  • Collaborate across departments to align training programs with company goals and resolve issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage the training division’s budget, track costs, forecast expenses, and ensure competitive pricing for financial sustainability.
  • Set KPIs, track program effectiveness, implement improvements, and foster continuous team development.

Your Skills

  • Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, client engagement, proposal creation, and closing deals to drive revenue growth.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adult Learning Principles
  • Highly knowledgeable of Indigenous Culture and Communities
  • Advanced organizational and communication skills
  • Service-oriented & with strong facilitation skills
  • Proficient in budget management and financial oversight

Your Ideal Qualifications

  • You have completed extensive training in Adult Learning
  • You have comprehensive experience of ten or more years in Human Resources or Adult Education
  • You ideally have five or more years of experience in managing a department
  • You have a solid background in sales and business development, with experience in generating leads, building client relationships, and driving business growth.
