Job Tile: Drywall Installer

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Vacancy: 2 positions are available

Wage Rate and hours: $31 per hour, 40 hours per week

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: various locations across Winnipeg, MB

Job requirements:

Language: English

Education: Completion of secondary school is required

Experience: 7-12 months relevant experience or 1-2 years apprenticeship program is required

Job duties:

• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Apply successive coast of compound and sand seams and joints
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
• To protect exterior corners, cut and install metal corner beads
• Use trowel and broad knife to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
• Use tape machine to tape over joint and embed tape in compound
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets as required.
