Job Description:

• Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as wheel loaders, forage processors, and forklift.
• Maintain quality control and production records.
• Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market.
• Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products.
• Load and unload shipping containers and trucks.
• Prepare orders for shipment: Packaging product / labeling/ organizing warehouse.
• Record production information.
• Perform quality control of products: Identifying weeds, watching for dirt, color changes, moisture content.

Requirements:

• Education: No formal education is required
• Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided
• Farm equipment and basic farm knowledge are a strong asset
• Valid driver’s license is a strong asset

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold/refrigerated

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Language:  Basic English is required

Salary: $22.00 Hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required since we run the plant 16 hours a day, depending on the weather. Our shifts are from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the business’ needs.
