Business Information: We are mobile concessionaires travelling BC, selling various food at different events, fairs, and festivals. We are looking for employees to commit to a seasonal travelling position from early-March to October 2026.

Type of Employment: Full time – Seasonal, 7-month contract.

Job Description:

  • Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables
  • Carrying and replace linen
  • Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Load buspans and trays
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
  • Place dishes in storage area
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Scour pots and pans
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used
  • Package take-out food
  • Portion, assemble, and wrap food or place it directly on plates for service to patrons
  • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Take customers’ orders
  • Clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sharpen kitchen knives
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Use equipment to prepare hot beverages such as coffee and tea specialties
  • Use deep fryer, grill, oven, dispensers and other equipment to prepare fast food items such as sandwiches, hamburgers, fries, salads, ice cream dishes, milkshakes and other beverages
  • May receive payment for food items purchased
  • May drive to and from various events (in a company vehicle)

Requirements

Education: Some secondary school is required.

Experience:  Not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Overtime required

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Personal Suitability: Initiative, Client focus, Effective interpersonal skills, Team player, Reliability

Driver’s licence: Valid Class 5 license is a strong asset

Language: Intermediate English skills are required

Salary:  $18.00 hourly, 40 – 45 hours per week

Important information: The position requires working on shifts of 4 to 12 hours per day. The shifts will be scheduled anytime within the business operating hours from 9 am to 10 pm, from Monday to Sunday. Flexibility in schedule and overtime will be required depending on the business needs. 1 to 2 days off per week on a rotational basis. Days will vary. Workers are required to travel to different cities in British Columbia for 7 months. Workers are needed for next season, starting on March, 2026.
