Job Description

1130772 BC LTD. dba Panago Pizza located at Unit 1 1350 Summit Drive Kamloops BC V2C 1T8 are looking for a dynamic Food counter attendant/ Kitchen helper to lead all aspects of our business.

Job Duties

• Take customers’ orders. Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests and makes change
• Serve customers at counter
• Portion, assemble, wrap food and package takeout food
• Clean, peel, slice, and trim food stuff
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars
• Wash and peel vegetables, fruits and other food items
• Keep records of the quantities of food used
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
• Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff

Job Requirements

• Education- No specific education requirements. No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience- No prior experience is required. We will train the willing candidates.
• Strong communication skills in English will be an asset. Knowledge of Punjabi will be an asset to have as majority of our customers are Punjabi speaking
• Ability to work in kitchen for extended hours
• Passion for the kitchen and for producing great product every day
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must work well within a team culture
• A positive and team-oriented attitude
• You must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods

As per Employment standards act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation annually or the option to choose 10 days of paid vacation annually with no vacation pay on each pay period.
