Job Description:

• Prepare and submit reports
• Recommend measures to improve productivity
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Establish work schedules
• Train or arrange for training
• Oversee safety of operations
• Recommend personnel actions
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
• Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Set up machines and equipment
• Conduct inventory
• Implement procedures based on the department’s needs

Requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a furniture and fixture assembler, woodworking machine operator, cabinetmaker or furniture finisher is required.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines.

Ability to supervise: 5 people.

Language: English is required.

Salary: $28.85 per hour, 42.5 hours per week.

Benefits: We provide transportation to worksites via company vehicle and paid gas.

Important information: Regular work schedule will be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required as hours could be extended, occasional overtime may be required.
