Salary: $20.00 – $22.00/ Hour for 32-40 Hours / Week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time

Start date: As soon as possible

Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments; Analyze hair and scalp condition; Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences; Provide custom hair and scalp treatment; Shampoo customers’ hair; Shave and trim beards and mustaches; Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair; Apply hair extensions; Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages; Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair; Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features and preferences

• Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Roller setting
• Hair Colouring Techniques: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Frosting, Streaking/highlights
• Work Setting: Hairstyling salon; urban area
• Work Site Environment: Noisy, odours

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environments; Repetitive tasks; Attention to detail; Standing for extended periods; Risks of slip and fall injuries; Use of electrical tools; Use of sharp objects, Use of chemical products
