Job Description:

GMR Logistics Ltd. located in Surrey, BC is looking to hire 4 Full-Time Long Haul Truck Drivers to drive all over Canada & across to USA.

Requirements:

• No specific education is required but having a secondary diploma is an asset
• Class 1 or A Driver License is required.
• Basic knowledge of English is required to read signs & maps is mandatory.
• On the job training will be provided.

Job Duties:

•  Operate and Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Loading and Unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of Cargo
• Plan Travel schedules and Routes, Use Atlas and other trip planning aids
• Receive and reply information to Central Dispatcher
• Able to Drive as part of a Two-Person team or convoy
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, Lights, Brakes, Cold-Storage, and other equipment’s
• Perform Brake Adjustments
• Monitor Vehicle Performance and Mechanical Fitness
• Maintain tidiness of the fleet

Minimum hours : 50 Hrs. per week

Transportation/Travel Information: Willingtotravel cross-border, Willing to travel for

extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver’s license equivalent to Class

1 or A Driver license. Essential skills: Working With Others, Problem Solving, Job Task Planning and Organizing.
