JOB SUMMARY: The Manager Maternal & Child Allied Health assists the Portfolio Lead – Child & Youth Health by overseeing the coordination and delivery of programs and services for children and youth within the Six Nations community.
To manage promotion, prevention, education and intervention/ programming health services for the Six Nations children and youth, with the emphasis on assisting individuals to achieve their fullest potential in communication, education, nutrition, physical & daily living skills through a community-based intervention approach, while working within the administrative procedures established for the Manager – Child & Maternal Allied Health Position.
To assist the team members to plan and organize caseloads and to ensure services are delivered in accordance with current applicable federal, provincial, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and assure that the highest degree of quality client care can be maintained at all times.
The Manager Maternal & Child Allied Health reports to and works under the direction and supervision of the Portfolio Lead – Child & Youth Health, Six Nations Elected Council, which includes matters pertaining to the policies and procedures of Six Nations Elected Council.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related experience in a health setting.
OR
- College Diploma and three years of related experience including supervision of support staff in a health setting.
- Demonstrated experience working in an inter-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience working in children’s health.
Other Related Skills:
- High level of computer skills – Microsoft Office – MS Word and Excel
- First Aid and CPR certified preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiar with Electronic Medical Record systems
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Understands the importance of Confidentiality. Ability to work with tact and discretion.
- Good knowledge of the Six Nations Community and highly sensitive to Six Nations culture.
